WHY HOOPSKETCH

YOU SAID YES.
LET’S HELP YOU
COACH.

You volunteered for a team. Now there’s a gym full of kids, a clock on the wall, and a hundred little decisions to make.

HoopSketch helps you see the basketball part clearly: what to run, how to teach it, and how to make the next practice useful.

Find your starting point

Make the picture clear

A play should help you explain an idea, not leave you decoding a diagram.

Respect the learning curve

You can care deeply about your team and still be new to coaching.

Keep the week connected

The play, the teaching cue, and the practice should support each other.

How we prepare coaching examples

Our examples are teaching starting points. The baseline inbound, sideline inbound, and pass/cut/fill guides use the same play data for their diagrams, numbered actions, and designer examples. We explain the first option, the fallback, and the limits of the picture so you can review the idea before practice.

These are HoopSketch-authored examples. They do not carry an independent coach endorsement. A named coach review will be credited only after that person has checked the play and agreed to the attribution. AI-generated variations need a fresh check of timing, spacing, and your league’s rules.
