Agreement and operator
These terms govern your use of HoopSketch, operated by HoopSketch in California, United States. By using the service or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.
Adult accounts and account security
Accounts are for coaches and adult organizers who are at least 18 or the age of majority in their jurisdiction. Keep your credentials secure and contact us if you suspect unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account and for having permission to include other people’s information in your work.
Your content
You retain ownership of the plays, playbooks, notes, and other coaching content you create. You grant HoopSketch a limited license to store, process, and display that content to operate and improve the service for you, including requested generation, saving, exporting, and sharing.
Only submit content you have the right to use. Do not submit unlawful, infringing, abusive, or harmful material. Shared files and links can be copied or forwarded by their recipients.
Coaching and AI-assisted output
HoopSketch provides tools and examples to support coaching judgment. AI-assisted output can be incorrect, incomplete, or unsuitable for your players or rules. Review diagrams, timing, spacing, safety, and league requirements before using an example with a team. We do not promise a scoring result, competitive advantage, or suitability for a particular child or team.
Acceptable use
Do not disrupt or overload the service, bypass access or usage controls, gain unauthorized access, or use automation to extract data beyond normal permitted use. Do not resell the service or misrepresent it as your own. Do not use the service to violate other people’s rights or applicable law.
Free and paid plans
Available features, prices, and usage limits are described on the pricing page and at checkout. Paid plans renew at the selected monthly or annual interval until canceled. Checkout shows the amount due, currency, applicable taxes, and billing interval before you confirm a purchase. A preview or sandbox checkout does not start a live subscription.
AI allowances are pooled across generation and refinement and run in 30-day usage windows. A successful model request uses one action; automatic retries, fallback attempts, and variations returned together do not consume additional actions. A slot is reserved while a request runs; failed, rejected, canceled, or throttled requests do not use an action. Requests refused at the cap do not increase usage. Manual drawing, verified instant plays, and supported instant edits do not use AI actions. Annual billing does not turn the allowance into a yearly pool.
Changes, cancellation, and refunds
You can cancel through the account cancellation flow. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and paid access continues until then unless access ends for another reason described in these terms.
Plan and billing-interval changes take effect immediately after your confirmation. The payment flow shows the full charge or credit difference and invoices it immediately while retaining the existing billing date. Downgrade credits remain on your billing account.
Refund requests are reviewed individually, subject to any rights required by law. A failed renewal returns access to Free until payment succeeds. Canceling a subscription does not itself delete your account or saved work.
Third-party services
Some features use third-party hosting, AI, payment, analytics, or email services. Their applicable terms and privacy policies also govern your use of their services. HoopSketch cannot guarantee the availability or behavior of a third-party service.
Availability and warranties
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” to the extent permitted by law, without warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. This does not exclude rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HoopSketch and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of data arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, to the extent that limitation is permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Ending access
You may stop using the service and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access for a violation of these terms or activity that threatens the service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should continue, including ownership and applicable liability terms, survive termination.
Governing law and changes
California law governs these terms, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. We will update the date when these terms change and give additional notice where required. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means accepting the updated terms.
