BRING YOUR NEXT QUESTION
Let’s put it on the court.
Teach the next safe decision before a complicated press break
A press break helps a team move the ball against defensive pressure. Begin by teaching the ball handler to protect possession and teammates to create visible passing windows, then connect those decisions across the court.
Identify where the pressure begins
Pressure near the inbound, a trap near a sideline, and a defender guarding the ball in the half court create different problems. Name the situation before choosing a pattern and check whether your competition allows that pressure.
Practice decisions at a manageable pace
Start with an available receiver and a clear outlet. Add opposition when players can recognize those windows. The current HoopSketch AI generator supports half-court and inbound situations; this guide does not imply a working full-court press-break generator.
Questions coaches ask
Should players throw the ball ahead whenever they are pressed?
Only when they see a controlled, available pass. A diagram does not make a covered passing lane safe.
Can I use the half-court designer for a full-court press break?
The current generator does not support full-court press-break geometry. Use the pressure-handling guide for teaching ideas while that product scope remains separate.
