TEACH THE IDEA

When to use it

You need an outside shot and player 2 is your confident shooter. Use legal three-point range only when they can shoot there with balanced form.

Say these cues

2 waits for 4 to become stationary, then cuts close past the screen without running into the screener.
Catch ready to shoot on balance; do not rush or force the shot if heavily contested.
1 stays wide at the right wing as a short, safe outlet if the pass to 2 is denied.

Keep a safe option

If 2 is tightly trailed or denied, 3 makes a simple direct pass to 1 at the right wing, who can reset the offense.

Watch for this

The shooter curls inside the arc or rushes a contested catch.

Make it simpler

Move the receiving target closer while learning the screen timing; that practice shot will not count as a three.
